You got all wrong what is happening in the Eve economics. If you got 100M isk and the value of the minerals goes down. All the prices go down. You can buy more with your 100M isk. That means.. The value of isk is increasing. It's called deflation...

The only fault in the sentries in 0.1-0.4 is that their range should be extended. They otherwise kinda work, people dislike tanking them.. Making the area what it should be like - semi-secure.

Nothing wrong with kamikazes. If the ship (or module) costs enough so that there's price for it (besides the possible sec status hit) and it's powerful enough to actually waste ships (at least medium barge with one hit), .. It's sweet.
